ProGenealogists, Inc. was founded in 1997 and since that time has been recognized by the following individuals or organizations.

	January 2008 - NBC's TV Affiliate WJFW, Channel 12, in Rhinelander Wisconsin listed ProGenealogists as their Website Wednesday pick of the day. ProGenealogists's free tool for "Day You Were Born," is a fun interactive tool for young and old alike.
Thursday, 4pm ET	February 2007 ProGenealogists and GenealogyToday announces the creation of Family Roots Radio - a radio show dedicated to the pursuit of genealogy, history and ancestors!
	November 2006 ProGenealogists researchers were engaged by Showtime TV to do research for their series called The Tudors. Paul C. Reed, FASG and Kory L. Meyerink, MLS, AG, FUGA were key to helping the series identify living descendants of King Henry VIII.
	October 2006 ProGenealogists was just named the "One Great Genealogy Site" award for the services we provide to the genealogy community. Thank you, OneGreatFamily!
Press Release	September 2006 - The true story of Annie Moore was unveiled on Friday, September 15 at the New York Genealogical & Biographical Society in New York City. Almost a dozen of Annie's descendants were in attendance, as well as the Irish consul general and representatives of the Tenement Museum, the National Park Service, the National Archives and the County Cork Association. The $1,000 contest prize was split between Brian Andersson and a great niece of Annie, Patricia Somerstein, of Long Beach, N.Y. ... Free Review Copy	In March 2006 ProGenealogists's Resources Page was listed as one of the "Top Places to Start your Research," by Internet Genealogy's Janice Nickerson. Internet Genealogy Magazine is a new publication by the publishers of Family Chronicle. The review copy of the premier issue shows that this will be another high quality publication for genealogy enthusiasts everywhere. Thank you, Ms. Nickerson, and Internet Genealogy Magazine!
	The article, "Why Bother? The Value of Documentation in Family History Research," by Kory L. Meyerink, AG, FUGA, was awarded the Best of the Internet award by Dear Myrtle, April 2003. The article was discussed during DearMYRTLE's Family History Hour on 1 April 2003. DearMYRTLE's Family History Hour is a Live Call-in Talk Radio Show held Tuesday 9-10pm Eastern U.S.
	Family Tree Magazine chose Ireland.ProGenealogists.com - Gateway to Your Irish Ancestry, developed by Kyle J. Betit, as the Site of the Day for 4/2/03. "We think this [is] a wonderful online resource for our readers." Family Tree Magazine is America's number-one publication about discovering, preserving and celebrating your family's history.

Press Release	Press Release: Professional Award - SANDY, Utah – July 26, 2002 ProGenealogists, Inc., announced today that one of its Senior Genealogists, Kory L. Meyerink, AG, was recently named a Fellow of the Utah Genealogical Association (FUGA).
	In April 2002, ProGenealogists had the honor of receiving the "One Great Genealogy Site" award from OneGreatFamily. OneGreatFamily.com is dedicated to gathering the world's genealogy into one human family tree. Their site links over 100,000 users who share over 30 million ancestors in 131 countries and uses some unique ways to present these links visually, on the Internet.
Internet News with Charles Bowen	On Wednesday, March 20, 2002, ProGenealogists was profiled by Charles Bowen in George Washington University's Internet News report sponsored by CompuServe Interactive Services. Charles writes, "It's the best clearinghouse I've found yet for all those great genealogy resources online ... an ideal starting point for anyone looking for family history records, census data and related material in every state and every country." 	In the February 1, 2002 edition of The Scout Report, our web site is described as "An unparalleled resource in genealogical research," and "a fantastic starting point for anyone interested in conducting genealogical research." In particular, the reporter found our Genealogy Sleuth page, to be a great resource for tools, content, databases and free and pay information online. The Internet Scout report is funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the National Science Foundation and The University of Wisconsin, Madison and is a weekly current awareness publication that highlights new and newly discovered Internet resources. Published continuously since 1994, the Scout Report is one of the Internet's oldest and most respected publications. We're delighted to have been selected by their research team.
	KTLA-TV Channel 5 in Los Angeles, reviewed and enjoyed our web site on 18 January 2002. Our Surname Study page offers you ready information on your surname. If you are curious about your family history, this is a good place to start. You just type in your last name and view the results!
	On 16 November 2001, USAToday.com, a free and highly popular news service on the World Wide Web, selected our site as one of their Hot Sites. Just like they do with top-rated movies and TV programs, USAToday.com looks for Web sites that are likely to be sure hits with readers - sites that seek to astound and delight, inform or amuse - by exhibiting something remarkable in graphics, content or both. We're pleased to be listed as a Hot Site!
	On 14 November 2001, Yahoo.com's Internet Life Magazine (no longer published) chose the surname study page from the ProGenealogists site as an 'Incredibly Useful Site.'
	ProGenealogists was recently named one of the "101 Best New Family History Web Sites" in the August 2001 issue of Family Tree Magazine. Family Tree Magazine is America's largest-circulation genealogy magazine, helping readers discover, preserve and celebrate their family history. Family Tree Magazine is from the publishers of Betterway Books, known for such bestselling genealogy titles as "Unpuzzling Your Past" by Emily Croom and "Organizing Your Family History Search" by Sharon DeBartolo Carmack. 	In February 2001, one of the content research sites that ProGenealogists sponsors, "Barnhouse Branches," was awarded LightSpan, Inc.'s Study Web Academic Excellence Award. StudyWeb, Links for Learning, was created to provide fast and easy access to a wide variety of research-quality information via the Internet in a family environment. The websites in the StudyWeb databases have been hand selected and reviewed by their researching staff, and assessed for value towards a particular researching goal. ProGenealogists is pleased to have content that we've supported and helped to develop be part of this important program.
	The International Association of Webmasters and Designers offered ProGenealogists's site their 2001-2002 Golden Web Award in January 2001. Websites submitted are judged and scored in three primary categories: Design, Content and Originality.
