Amanda K. Sims, MA (Family History)

Amanda K. Sims is a graduate of Brigham Young University. Amanda holds a teaching certificate in History. She completed her master's thesis on "Women's Property Law in Mississippi in the Nineteenth Century" in the summer of 2007. Amanda has worked as a genealogist for several years, having worked for some years with the Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation. She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists.

Amanda Sims has been involved in genealogical research for more than eight years. She especially enjoys solving tough research problems, including those in the Southern United States. Over the past several years, she has garnered a wide set of research skills, working on such projects as solving tough client research problems to transcribing 16th and 17th century English wills. Amanda has a wide geographical research experience, and has researched the records of almost every state in the US, as well as the Scandinavian countries as well as Germany, France and England. She is currently preparing for her accreditation in Southern States Research.
