Helen M. Whittle, BA (Hons), Dip. Eur. Hum., F. Inst. L. Ex.
Helen M. Whittle began family history research as an amateur in 1976. She has been a professional genealogist since 1989 and a full-time professional genealogist since January 2000. Helen carries out research in London and in Sussex, England, for family historians, doctoral students, and authors, as well as for professional institutions and public authorities.
A member of the Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives (AGRA), Helen holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in History with a focus on 17th century Europe and generally embracing the period 1450 to 1950, covering the Arts and Sciences. Helen also holds the Diploma in European Humanities, and a Part II Certificate in Genealogy of the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and was in legal practice until 1989.
Helen is Hon. Curator of Storrington and District Museum. Her particular interest in history is the English Civil War period. She has written articles for various historical publications and is working on several books.
